Enter your target hour, minute, and AM/PM. The tool calculates the difference between your current local time and the next occurrence of that target time, converting the total difference into hours.
The calculation automatically rolls over to the next day. For example, if it is 3 PM and you ask for hours until 1 PM, it will calculate the hours until 1 PM tomorrow.
The tool finds the next upcoming occurrence of that weekday. If today is Wednesday and you select Monday, it calculates the hours until next Monday at midnight (or your specified time).

Midnight is treated as 12:00 AM, which marks the beginning of a new day. Selecting 12:00 AM calculates the hours until the start of the next day (or the specified future day).
Yes. If a daylight-saving time transition occurs between now and your target time, the total hours may be one hour more or less than a simple calendar count suggests. Our tools account for this when using specific timezone data.
As time progresses, a target year (e.g., 2026) will eventually become the current or past year. Our directory cards remain for historical or reference purposes, but dynamic calculators will clearly indicate if a target date has already passed.
